Stigmata – 2017

Clothing always has served as a nonverbal level of communication. Before people even start talking to each other, they start (consciously or unconsciously) getting an image of their opposite. Reading and understanding the vesture appearance accurately, knowing cultural codes, signs and symbols are however essential.
Clothes often distinguish its carrier as am member of a religious or different kind of creed. Outfits prompt to rapidly generalize and prejudice. The symbolic function of clothing and its carrier then hastily becomes an overstretched projected screen. Actually it is just one element of the person who wears it.
